How does it work?
You will get an email a day over 7 days - with lessons, tips, and tricks that'll help you create incredible UX copy in every language.
It's a short, free version of our comprehensive UX writing course for localizers.
-
What if I have any other questions? You can always message me on Linkedin! I'd love to hear from youl.
-
Who is this for? This guide is meant for anyone localizing (or about to localize) a digital product. Product managers, designers, developers, UX writers, and anyone else wanting to improve their work with linguists and localization agencies.
-
Is this free?Absolutely! You need to enter your email so that I can send you the brief. I'd also love to send you more content about localization in the future - but you can unsubscribe anytime (no hard feelings, promise!)
-
Why does this exist?I've read enough single-spaced, crammed, boring loc briefs for a lifetime. They're tedious, they're unhelpful, and most of all - they're rarely read. But briefs are still the best way to share information with your loc team - especially for larger, multilingual projects. So this is my little contribution to the localization industry: An actionable, effective e-guide that aims to change the way you write localization briefs.
-
Can you write my brief for me?You know what they say: Give someone a fish, they'll eat for a day. Teach them to fish, and they'll write amazing localization briefs every single time. I'm paraphrasing, but the point is: I can't write your briefs for you, but I can teach your team how in the build-a-brief workshop.
-
Can I send this to someone else?Sure thing. That would be amazing. Help me spread the best brief gospel! Simply send them this link: www.localizationstation/brief.
-
Does this work for all industries?I wrote this e-guide for the digital product industry - basically, apps and software. But the information and templates will probably be useful even if you work with other types of content. Give it a look - what do you have to lose?
-
How long is the e-guide?It's basically one coffee cup long - so super short and non-threatening. Just 12 pages, all informative and instructional.
-
Why does this course exist?I deeply believe that every localizer dealing with UI copy should know at least some UX writing. When you have this knowledge, you communicate better with product teams, create better copy, and overall make better experiences for your local users. I created this course to give every localizer in the world access to UX writing basics that'll help them get started.
-
Can I work as a UX writer after taking this course?Well, no. It's a 7-email course 🙂 But it'll give you much-needed basics that every localizer needs to know - especially if handling any type of UX or digital product copy (what's often called IT/software in agency signup forms).
-
How much time will I need? You'll need about 10-15 minutes a day to read each email. Plus, you can always save them and read them bundled later. There's also an optional quest that will take about 1 hour to complete.
-
How many emails will I get?The mini course is 7-email long. On top of those, you'll get one confirmation email (to make sure everything is working) and one summary email.
